Your Meta Ads dashboard says one thing.
Your bank account says another.

That gap is not a coincidence and it is not your creative. It is almost always a signal problem: the pixel firing the wrong event, a deduplication key missing from CAPI, or an algorithm optimising toward clicks instead of conversions because that is the only thing it can actually see. I fix the signal first. Then the numbers on the dashboard start meaning the same thing as the numbers in your account.

60-Day Measurable Progress Guarantee: if you don’t see measurable improvement in signal quality, CPL, or ROAS within 60 days, I work an extra month at no charge.

What You’re Actually Feeling

Five ways a Meta Ads account quietly fails

None of these show up as an obvious error. Meta doesn’t warn you. The account just keeps running, spending, and reporting numbers that don’t add up to real revenue.

CPL keeps climbing and nobody can tell you why

Same audience, same creative, same budget, and the cost per lead is quietly up 30% over three months. The usual answer is “the market is more competitive now.” Often the real answer is signal decay: iOS restrictions and browser-side-only tracking mean Meta is matching fewer and fewer of your real conversions, so it bids blind.

The dashboard looks great. Sales don’t match it

ROAS reads 3x, 4x, sometimes higher, but revenue on the bank statement never quite gets there. This is almost always an event configuration problem: a pixel firing on “Add to Cart” instead of “Purchase,” silently training the algorithm to find browsers, not buyers.

Leads are cheap. Bookings never happen

A healthy cost per lead can still produce almost nothing if the response happens 19 hours later with a generic message. The campaign isn’t the problem in this case. What happens in the 90 seconds after the form is submitted usually is.

You don’t actually know what’s in your own account

A monthly PDF report is not the same as read access to Ads Manager and Events Manager. If you can’t personally check signal quality, event match, and spend allocation whenever you want, you’re trusting someone else’s summary of your own money.

Every fix so far has been a creative refresh

New ad copy, new images, new hooks, and performance moves for a week, then settles back to where it was. If the underlying signal is broken, creative changes are rearranging furniture in a room with a structural crack in the wall.

What Gets Audited First

Four things checked before a single dirham of new spend

Every engagement starts the same way, regardless of how urgent the request feels. Campaign changes made on top of a broken signal just optimise the wrong thing faster.

Area 01
Pixel & CAPI Signal Quality

Event Match Quality score in Meta Events Manager, deduplication key presence, and whether the events firing actually match the conversions you care about. This is the single highest-leverage fix in most accounts.

Area 02
Campaign & Objective Structure

Whether the campaign objective actually matches the outcome you want. A Traffic objective with a WhatsApp link in the destination field optimises for clicks, not conversations, no matter how good the ad is.

Area 03
Audience & Retargeting Pools

Whether retargeting is built on genuine buying signals or diluted with low-intent traffic like all-visitor pools and video-view events. A large audience built on the wrong signal underperforms a small one built on the right one.

Area 04
Attribution & Reporting Honesty

Which attribution window is actually being used, whether it’s disclosed consistently, and whether the numbers you’re shown are platform-verified or a blended estimate dressed up as a result.

Not a Promise. A Record.

What fixing the signal actually looked like, three times

Every figure below is sourced directly from Meta Ads Manager or Events Manager reporting for the stated period. No blended averages, no modelled estimates. The full methodology and account context is in each case study.

None of these came from new creative or a bigger budget. The E-Commerce account had a Purchase event firing as Add to Cart for eleven months before anyone caught it. The Real Estate account was missing a single deduplication parameter. The Healthcare account’s ads were already working; the leads were dying in a 19-hour response gap. The Process

Signal first. Campaign second. Always in that order

This sequence doesn’t change based on how urgent the account feels. Rebuilding campaigns on top of broken tracking just makes the algorithm confidently wrong, faster.

Signal Audit

Full review of pixel and CAPI configuration in Events Manager. Event Match Quality score checked against the actual events firing. This alone finds the root cause in most accounts I audit.

Tracking Rebuild

GTM Server Container deployed where needed. Correct events configured and verified through Meta’s own Test Events tool before anything goes live. Deduplication confirmed, not assumed.

Campaign & Audience Structure

Objectives matched to actual business outcomes. Retargeting pools rebuilt on genuine intent signals instead of all-visitor traffic. Prospecting and retargeting separated with real budget controls.

Learning Phase Discipline

No changes during the first seven days after a structural fix. The algorithm needs a clean, stable signal to recalibrate against. Touching the account mid-learning-phase resets the clock and wastes the fix.

Verified Reporting

Every number reported traces back to a specific platform export for a specific date range. You get read access to your own account. Nothing is summarised for you that you can’t check yourself.

The Engagement

What you get, and who actually does the work

No account managers. No junior media buyers. Every campaign in every account I work on is built, monitored, and optimised by me personally. That’s not a scale claim, it’s a structural one: I don’t have staff to delegate to, so the person who diagnoses your signal problem is the same person who fixes it and the same person who answers when you message.

Standalone Meta Ads engagements run alongside Growth Systems work when the fix needs to go past the ad account, such as WhatsApp response automation or CRM lead routing. The campaigns and the infrastructure underneath them are treated as one problem, not two separate invoices.

Common Questions

What people ask before starting

Why do you check tracking before touching my campaigns?

Because campaign optimisation on top of broken tracking optimises for the wrong thing, faster. If the algorithm is learning from duplicated events or the wrong conversion type, every campaign change you make is being judged against bad data. Fixing the signal first is slower to start and faster to actually work.

My CPL is already reasonable. Do I still need a signal audit?

Usually yes, and the reason is uncomfortable: a reasonable CPL can still mean the algorithm is finding cheap clicks instead of real buyers. The E-Commerce case study above had a Signal Quality score most people would consider fine, 7.2 out of 10, and it was still masking a Purchase event firing as Add to Cart for eleven months.

How is this different from what my current agency does?

Most agencies report a monthly summary and manage the account through a junior media buyer. You get direct read access to your own Ads Manager and Events Manager, and the person doing the strategy work is the same person you message. If a number looks wrong, you can check it yourself in the platform, not just in a report someone built for you.

How fast will I see a difference?

Signal fixes typically show in Meta’s own Event Match Quality score within days. Performance impact takes longer because the algorithm needs a stable learning phase, usually 18 to 28 days, before results settle at the new baseline. Every case study above followed that timeline, not a faster one.

Do you only work with Meta Ads, or Google Ads too?

Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) is a standalone engagement. If tracking or attribution issues extend beyond the ad platform itself, such as CRM lead routing or cross-channel reporting, that work sits under Growth Systems.

Start with the signal, not the spend

Before you change one more ad,
find out if the account can even see clearly.

A Proof Audit checks your pixel, CAPI, and event configuration against what Meta is actually reporting. Most of what’s broken shows up in the first audit.
